This is the Gallop I Horse, 6.75" high x 9.5" wide, designed by talented sculptor Alfredo LLorens. It's from the Fauna series of Lladro Porcelain Figurines. Gallop I is somewhat different from the usual porcelain figurines from Lladro, in that it is the first of a series of galloping horses. Numbers II, III and IV show the horse in a different phase, or step, of the gallop. Any of this line make wonderful stand alone pieces, and shown in a display of all four they are really impressive. That in itself would make these items special, but additionally they are available in a slightly larger size all together in one figurine. That piece is entitled Galloping Herd.
