An eared French onion soup bowl from Pillivuyt that holds 15 oz. of soup. Pillivuyt is known for the way they manufacture eared bowls. Their process leaves no finger indention on the inside of the bowl. There is no need to worry about burning cheese onto the bowls, either. The porcelain and glaze used is dense and non-porous. Just soak them for a few minutes in hot water and any burnt residue will wipe away.

While the designs are different, the material used to make this fine dinnerware is porcelain fired at 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit. The high firing temperature makes these dishes extremely durable; they are resistant to scratching, chipping and breaking and will not craze. Put them in the oven, under the broiler, in the microwave or in the freezer; Pillivuyt French porcelain dinnerware can handle it.
