A wonderful starting point for the beginning collector, this Spode Blue Italian 5 piece place setting includes a 10.5" dinner plate, an 8" salad plate, a 6.5" bread and butter plate, a 7 ounce teacup and a 6" saucer, all in the Camilla Cottage shape. The many shades of blue give the pieces such depth and interest; one's eye is drawn into the pastoral scene, then wanders around the intricate border. The footed teacup is remarkable for its angular, peaked handle.
